I think you'll probably have to re-install your OS when you change motherboards. And I don't think you can use the Dell CD again because it can only be installed on a Dell machine. I could be all wrong, though.

As long as he's sure to remove the old drivers before he installs the new mobo, there should be no problem whatsoever...I recently did this with a friends Dell and we didnt have a problem..
