Yup. When I was in high school we were driving back from lunch and one of the guys in the back seat threw an empty soda can out the window. We got pulled over and he got arested for throwing a "bullet" from a moving vehicle. The officer said anything thrown form a moving vehicle over 5 MPH is classified as a "bullet" because it can cause deadly harm if it hits someone.

The guy spent 30 days in jail for it.
