Don't pay that much to fix the timing belt. You can put another running B18B in there for that much if you do it yourself.
Whats the difference between JDM and USDM?
Japanese Domestic Market (made for use in Japan) and United States Domestic Market (made for use in America.) There is only slight differences in the engines, but the JDM versions tend to be slightly more powerful then the US versions.
How would I know if I was getting a piece of garbage or a good engine?
Compression tests, choosing a good dealer/importer, and a little luck.
