Well when I took mine out they sure didn't feel like 40 pounds lol. I'm just saying... even if you get aftermarket seats it's not going to be a dramatic weight loss and most seats at $400 a pop are not the first obvious choice when you can simply remove things.
going by what it "feels like" isn't an acurate gauge of how much weight you are saving.
