according to this tire size calculator, by running a 205/40-16 your speedometer will be 4.2% too fast. so if your speedometer reads 60mph, you're actually doing 57.5mph. however, if you run a 205/45-16, its only .8% too fast, so if you're speedometer says 60mph, you're actually doing 59.5mph.

cliffs notes: 45 series is closer to the stock wheel/tire diameter.

i run 45 on mine.
