Default Just changed my fuel filter

Ok everyone, I just finished changing my fuel filter not too long ago, so I'd thought I'd do a mini write up to help some people out.
BTW: this was on my 94 ex coupe, so I assume its the same on all the 5th gens

Filter: Napa Gold - $20
Total time: about 45 minutes but it could be done a lot quicker
Tools needed: wrenches- 12mm, 14mm, 17mm socket- 10mm

I just followed the Chilton's manual method of install and removal and it worked perfectly. So pretty much just read your own manual, I'm not going to go through every step unless someone requests me to.

Some potential downfalls/things to watch out for:

1) Take off your gas cap and also unscrew the banjo bolt before you get started so you don't have a gas shower

2) The bracket for the fuel filter is a pain to get off and on. The best way is totally remove the 10mm screw on the back of it to take the bracket fully off.

Installation is the opposite of removal, just make sure to replace the old washers (pay attention to where they came off). Also, after installing, it might take a little longer to start the car since there is no fuel in the filter initially. I had to turn my key for about 10 sec before it sputtered a little then finally started.

I've noticed a nice difference after changing it. The car seems to accelerate a little quicker and drive smoother. I'm not sure if this is the first time it has been changed or not. I've owned the car for about 3000 miles. It currently has 80k on it.

Question still remaining: What do I do with the old fuel filter because it obviously has fuel in it, and I dont just want to dump it in the trash?

Wow, this is kinda a long post. Hope it helps some people though. Any questions or comments are welcome
