where are they located?

if there is a leak, it should happen all the time, how come it only happen sometimes?

would valve timing be the problem, i know my engine timing is correct, but not the valve timing. but i am just wondering, if the valve timing is wrong, wouldn't it be happen all the time too, why would it only happen sometimes?
