D series to D series :bigok:

D series with any other :nono:
Right idea, wrong answer.. sorry.

The D16Y7 manifold has the cat in the middle of the mani. It looks like a big coffee can with the secondary O2 plugged in right there. The D16Y8 mani is straight through like the DC 4-2-1 2 piece design with the cat after the mani.

You can't interchange the D16Y7 manifold with the D16Y8 manifold without doing some rewiring for the positioning of the secondary O2 sensor and using the mani-after cat. h:

In order to fix this problem I had to either order a new downpipe or get another header....It's the holidays and low on cash i decided to get a complete exhaust manifold from an D16y8 but im not sure of the year, would it still fit on my engine?

All D series stuff can fit on my D series engine right? Sorry for the n00b question..
So, did you use an aftermarket cat when you went to the DC header? You would either have to use an aftermarket cat or an OEM EX cat.

DC doesn't make a straight header replacement for the 6th gen LX... http://www.dcsports.com/pricesheader.htm
