If the cylinders are full of water and you turn it over you will break or bend your rods. Water will not compress so it will break things. Take out your plugs first and then try turning it over. How big of a puddle did you go through? I find it really strange that just going thru a puddle locked up your engine. Sound like you just got some water in your distibutor pop off the cap and see if there is any water in it. Really hard to say without more information. Like some of the previous guys said you need to be more specific. Like what happens when you turn it over etc.
