so did it choke down before it died or died all at once? are you sure it sucked in water or could it have lost electrical power? what happens when you spin it over? if it clicks and or tries to spin for a second may be there is water in it. if so the only quick, easy thing to do is to remove all you plugs(spark) and try to spin it over. if the cyl.'s are full of water it should spit it out the plug holes. also when pulling out the plugs note what they look like, black, rusty, etc... if you do find water in cyl.'s you will need to change the oil of course, to make sure any water that got past the rings is removed before running engine.
