i got side swapped in my old parking lot and it gouged out my rr 1/4 panel trim piece. i scuffed it up with scotch brite, cleaned with thinner, primed and painted and all good, you can get a way with just scuffing, cleaning and painting just fine, just make sure to clean/strip all wax etc... off before you spray
