To adjust the Tein Flex from the cockpit you need to buy what Tein calles an EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller). It's a little box about the size of a turbo timer which controls four stepper motors that you install one of each of them on the tops of the shocks. It's kind of nice but it is a lot of coin to drop for not much added functionality since you still can only adjust the shocks while the car isn't moving. I guess you could play with your damping settings while at stoplights or something if you really wanted to.
Anyway, the Tein Basic kit includes fixed rate shocks and springs on an adjustable perch. They're a good idea if you really want to be able to adjust your ride height and don't feel like spending a bunch of money. But for that price I would go with Koni Yellow shocks which are better than what you get in that kit and either some plain old lowering springs if the ride height adjustability isn't that much of an issue. Or if you wanna pop a little more cash and get back height adjustability then some Ground Control coilover sleeves to go with the Konis. They might not have the cool JDM bling effect you get from saying that you have Teins but they'll perform better.
