It's probably the clutch cable bracket. This happened to my friend's 86 CRX Si, and his car wouldn't shift at all. What you have to do is get under the dash, find that bracket (its on the firewall), remove it and have it re-welded.

It's a little bracket that's not even in the service manual. It's L-shaped and has a nut on the end of it, where the clutch cable support sits. Hard to explain, I'll try and get pictures. Trace the clutch cable inside the car from teh firewall, you'll find it.
