there is more of a difference between cai and short ram. the length of the intake tube affects the whole power curve. cai might not necesarily give you more hp than a short ram. the cai gives more mid-range torque, which is what you feel if you are a daily driver. but the short ram intake gives you more power in the high rpms-i.e. racing. so if you race, it might be a better idea for you to get the short ram. but look this shit up, because there are many common mistakes. i think the best set up is to have an ice box attached to a short ram intake, bc you get the cold air and the power.
