I think he's asking whether he should "chip" his car with an aftermarket ECU. My answer would be it's not worth it in the long run. For $200-300 comptech will reprogram your ECU and lower the vtec point/change timing map, but these are not specific to your particular car/application. If you're looking to make serious power in the long run, you're better off getting an Apexi V-afc and tuning your car on a dyno.
