I finally got sick of all the stupid ads and crap in in AIM, and I know that AIM+ doesn't work with any version of AIM past 4.8 so I went looking for an alternative. I found this program called AIMutation. It allows you to skin AIM, get rid of the ads, log IMs, and do a bunch of other stuff that I haven't even figured out yet. It's free to try and $3.95 to register but it sure does work really nice. With the ads and some of the buttons removed I can get a much larger view of my buddy list which makes for less scrolling. I'm going to have to devote some time to figuring out all the gimmicks.
