Saabs are crap for reliability and their transmissions WILL break and WILL leave you stranded. I have a friend that has had 3 [two caught on fire] and the third one just had a new tranny put in, but it's sitting due to an oil leak. My other friend has had two. The timing chain broke on this last one and the tranny locked up on the first.

I don't see how the 240 is so 'played out' considering there are probably two in my whole city, while there's at least 7 Sols. The car is RWD, awesome handling, good power, good gas mileage, roomy, etc. I do agree, it's nowhere as good looking in the front as the Sol.

Don't buy the 3000gt. It's a FWD crap boat. If you want something like that get the 300zx. RWD, awesome handling, 222hp, and pretty reliable. The problem comes with insurrance and the fact that it takes a lift just to change the air filter.

Another good choice is a VW GTI VR6 or Corrado. They are both great cars.

Personally, I just don't go for Mitsubishis or Mazdas due to their records. It all depends on what you're looking for. You can get a muscle car that's balls to the wall power, but can't handle nearly as well. I want the 240SX, because it's a good reliable daily driver with the edge in handling. If you're driving even 106 torque doesn't mean anything if it's way up at 6800rpm. The point I make is that as a daily driver, lower end torque is more usable torque.
