The rear-view mirror of a Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T or GSX (and some GS models) with a factory sunroof has a bad-ass set of map lights built into it with individual swithches for each side that let you turn it on without the door open. The switches don't override the door-open trigger, either. Bright, and you don't have the lights shining in your eyes or mirror when it's on. They shine on the dash, and light it up like a stage.

If you get one, be sure to also get the wiring harness that extends to it. It has a clip-in connector on it that you'll want to use. Some Galants also have it, but I'm not sure specifically which ones.
