the only problem you might have is, since you're in chicago, if it's cold as **** out and a rock gets kicked up. It's like throwing a rock at a cold tpperware bowl. It's durable as hell when it's warm and can flex, but in the cold it may shatter.

I know pleanty of people here running them ion the winter, so it's not a huge worry...
