what grit did you sand it with? normally i dont sand plastic parts at all but if they are road rashed ill just hit them with a compound then hit them with a hand glaze afterwards. it makes taillights look bitchen if they arent beyond the point of no return. of course..... its best to do it all by hand. a machine polisher or buffer can burn the plastic really easily.
