Yes, change it at least every 30,000 miles. I change the GSX every oil change because of the abuse it endures, and still, I have yet to have a tranny last more than 7k miles. Sux because it costs $50 for enough oil to change it. And $2600 for my tranny.
Sounds like you need a Sheperd tranny, my friend just put his back in as well as an ACT 2600... talk about whiplash.
