Another key issue: are the trannies from the same ODB type cars? This could affect if the engine uses any tranny sensors.
Yes it's 4cyl to 4cyl and the same OBD type. Thanks for your help, there's alot of good suggestions and information when you post.
I think I'll wait for my tranny to crap out then see if I could swap. Until then I'll investigate if this could be done like you said.
I might be the first to have a 6th gen with the heart of 5th gen.
