They are similiar to seat belts in that if you play the overall odds, it's best to have them. Even though there are the exceptions when they don't help or may hut, overall they are good. I'll take some cuts on my face over a cracked skull.

You are intitled to your opinion, but you should also understand why people would want to keep them.
