It added a pretty good amount of thickness to the grip. Before I got my car I had driven a 2k1 Integra with a leather wheel, and it was like the perfect thickness... and I would say that my wheel with the leather wrap on it is pretty close in thickness. My reasons for getting the wrap were because of the thickness (or lack of) and how ugly that grained rubber is... overall I am very happy with it. If you just want some extra thickness in the grip, I definatly suggest this... its 100 times easier to install compared to swapping a steering wheel and air bag, and a crap load cheaper.
