Alrtight, redoing my ignition lock cyl. after the theft. Want to disable the airbags.

everything i'm finding for literature tells me there should be a red clip on the cover to plug into the YELLOW clip in the steering wheel. I left the battery unplugged over night hopefully to decharge the SRS powersupply also.

here's the problem....no red clip, or place to hold one in my 96 EX. The battery has been uplugged overnight. How do I finish disabling? Should I just replace the ignition now? Should I unplug the yellow clip first and tape over so it doesnt ground?

Please help!(Searched here also and only found the red clip thing)
