My reasons

I DL music because there are so few albums worth buying and I would rather hear it before I shell out 20 something bucks to hear the 2 good songs on the album...if the album is good then I buy it and support the artist.

Movies I do because I think the same as music about it...they try to drag $9 plus snacks etc. out of me for mediocre movies with rehashed plot lines and the only thing fresh is the effects.

Pictures...well don't do much with pics from DLs

Sometimes its also a matter of not being able to find certain movies in stores....example...I just DLd Orgazmo which was a great and funny movie...good luck finding it in a video store of any kind and if you do I bet there is no way your finding it on DVD.

Software I DL because many times I think they overcharge for it...not that it makes it right in the least but I am not trying to justify it either.

I dunno I guess it depends on what I am DLing and my situation at the time....I have actually DLd programs because I couldn't find them anywhere or had to have it to finish a project and the stores are closed.

I also DL games for my youngest because justification is hard to come by to pay $25 for a game that has bad graphics, poor sound, and fits on a 25 meg disc

I don't DL much anymore because its become kind of a hassle but I don't think I will ever stop doing it
