Since when. Hell, I know a guy with a substantial amount of bolt-ons on a 5.0 that runs a 14.6 1.4. And don't say driver because he also owns an 11 second 5.0 on NOS. stock 5.0 mid 14 second car, hah!
WTF are you smoking, buddy? Bolt on 88-92 5.0's will STOMP me. That means mid 12's if you didn't read my sig. Where do you people get this shit.

It's like all the jackasses that say they run 13's in basically stock 2001 + Gt's. I hear this all over the internet yet every week I see dozens of slow ass GT's roll up and run high 14's andlow 15's. I guess it's just the bad San Antonio GT owners though.
Umm.... yeah. They do run high 13's, idiot. I don't prefer GT's, but they are not 14 sec cars. I have seen many 100% stock 99+ Gt's run 13.8-13.9 at bremerton.

That's comical.

I definitely see a spanking coming with those times.
Normally I wouldn't knock a car that has a some time and sweat invested in it and can run decent times.... But for a guy who claims to be able to "spank a POS f body", those times suck ass. You can beat a stock LT1 or a stock LS1 w/ a so-so driver.... want a cookie? Let's hope they haven't spent $100 in mods, though, because then they would rape you.

millhouse, If you ran a high 13 in a basically stock 5.0 then there was something wrong with the track equipment or you are the best damn driver I have ever known because my wifes cousin has a failry heavily modded 5.0 on nitto drags than ran low 13's and a high 12 (once). His 5.0 had a built block , intake manifold, gears, ignition, full exhaust from head to rear, and a bunch of other shit I can't remember.
You are saying that that a built 5.0 on drag radials is somehow slower than my entirely stock+airbox lid car....
Man, those fords must SUCK.

lol, which "slow" cars were these? cause =and idiot boy that disagreed wit me were talkin about f-bodies. and i guarentee that if an f-body lifts its wheels than it is a fast car no if ands or buts about it.
I agree with yellow civic ex on that one. I have beat a car (old nova w/ a big block) that pulled it's wheels on launch. It only ran a 13.1, which is damn slow for a car with foot wide mickey thompsons on the back. But I'm guessing that's due to 500 lb ft @ 1000 rpm and 280 hp @ 3800 rpm (or something like that). It's rare though.

ANYWAY...
The first post here was concerning Cobra vs. STi. Having raced both on the highway, and the cobra at the track, I can say that the STi is ALL LAUNCH. I destroyed it on the highway almost as bad as the cobra destroyed me. And at the track, the 100% stock cobra I raced had a couple tenths on me, and I had the better launch.
I'm done.
