Yeah, I have bought a total of 6 tires, because the Nankangs bubbled out. So I'll need something with a strong sidewall. And yes, anything over 17" is not good for commuting. Unfortunately, I drive it about 800 miles per week. I thought about selling the car to someone who will keep it local, but I just cant do it. How important is it to put the stock wheels back on for winter? I really dont want to.
