Big government doesn't care about human rights violations, dictatorship, any of that bullshit. They'll prattle on about democracy but the bottom line is this:
As long as the country opens its borders to free trade, there's no problem. We'll turn a blind eye. But if they don't allow US-based multinationals in, all of a sudden they're the bad guy.

Since we're doing bad anologys here, how about this. Cop comes up to me in the street and wants to search me. I tell him to piss off. What I have is none of his business, unless he has a warrant. Now, the UN had a warrant, so to say, but if I don't obey, the cop doesnt attack me.
