CV joints are on the end of your axles where they connect to your wheel hubs. When they go bad they make kind of a clicking noise that sounds like a rolling "glunk" from inside the car, when the car turns and you put your foot on the gas.
If it's some other kind of clunking coming from the suspension then it could be any number of things from a bushing that's gone bad to a ball joint to other stuff.
I have the same of sound when I step on the gas of my Integra.
Also, it only happens when the car is all warm up, after going for a couple of kms. The mechanic looked at the CV boots(replaced not to long ago) and said they were not leaking. Of course, they assumed if the CV boots are okay, the CV joints should be okay. What is it?
