Ugh, I think $60+core for a rebuilt axle w/ lifetime warranty is worth it if I don't have to go through the mess and hassle of having to rebuild one of those joints.

sorry i have no money, im broke, i still dont have a job, and i cant be caughin up $60 for that ****, if i get the boot it should last me a while, my boot has been cracked a long time also, and no prob with the cv joint yet. i just got a new clutch, i need to resurface the fly, fix my a/c, change my timingbelt, water pump, and master brake. that right there is like $200 in labor, plus me buying the parts.
