Every Tanabe exhaust is some kind of "medallion." The one that looks like the A'PEXi N1 is the Racing Medalion. The Hyper Medallion is a more traditional muffler, not a canister design. The "Super" versions of each of these exhausts have stainless pipes, the regular versions have aluminized steel pipes.

I'm guessing that since you're comparing it to the N1 you mean the Racing Medallion. If that's the case I can't really give much of a description because to me all canister exhausts just sound loud.

And like I said before, pretty much every cat back exhaust gives the same amount of power so all you gain by stepping to a louder exhaust (i.e. anything canister-style) is a bunch of noise.
