It's not like adding 10 hp to the motor is a quantum leap in gas guzzling. Less weight equals better mileage, that's it. Putting the same engine in a car that is 600 pounds lighter guarantees better mileage. Maybe it'll be rated at like 27 city/38 highway but that's still pretty solid.
