when I took my pulley off for my alternator and power steering the one on my original motor was a bitch to remove the bolt. An impact couldn't get it so we used the 1/2" breaker bar with a cheater bar and got it, then aftewards we just pulled the pulley off with out using the tool. And when we swapped the pulley over onto the new engine the same thing, didn't have to use a pulley tool and didn't even need a breaker bar, just used a impact wrench.
