Not sure if the 94 is the same as the 93, but all I had to do to get mine off was pry the plastic piece that holds the shift boot downward to get it off the knob. Then just unscrew the shift knob off. It can be on there pretty tight, just make sure you're twisting it the right way, I've made that mistake before Remember, righty tighty, lefty loosy Good luck!
