well, look into any science that relates to personallities. None of them are 100% right.

and besides, you can pick appart everything to the point where nothing's right. Its not that difficult.

Long enough that the stars aren't in the same constellations as when astrology was put into practice.. Plus, there are more constellations that the sun passes through than are used in current astrological bullshit (12).
well, first of all, aries in the sun sign still kicks off Sheep/Goat mating seasons.

secondly, there's also 3 planets we've discovered since then.

third, one of the "planets" is indeed our own sun.

and fourth, there's a rather infinite amount of constilliations. Again, you pick something apart enough, nothing will make sense.

So what is affecting us, exactly? Because I bet if you take your birthdate and do a little research into exactly what constellation the sun was in when you were born, it's not what you'll find in your newspaper.
you ask about constilation positions vs. the changing of the universe....

well, I'm a sagittarius, born november 27th. My sister is, too, born nov. 25th. My girlfriend is as well, born november 28th. Hell, I've known several around that general date (knew a guy I shared bdays with, have a coworker born on the 26th of november, etc), and while we're all not the same, we still have similar traits. Also, there's much more to astrology than just the sun sign. One example is the Moon sign, and its say on things, particularly the subconscous (and that can change depending on location of the planet, time of the day, down to the minute).

but why talk about a bunch of shit none of you know about. You read a daily horiscope in the paper and automaticlly say "whoop, this is bullshit." I can just state example in my life.

my best friends (four of us total) are a cancer (july 4th), a gemini (june 18th), a capricorn (jan 15th), and myself, a sag (nov 27th).

well first of all, signs have their opposites. Cancer/capricorn, Aries/libra, Tarus/scropio, Gemini/sag, Virgo/Pecies, and Aquarius/leo. If you didn't notice, my primary circle of friends contains 2 sets of opposites. We're quite a dynamic group, really. Music, film, art, video games, cars, some sports, drinking, politics, weed, etc. We're a deep bunch, often sharing experiences, talking out problems, etc. We're extreamly close, even though we've had our shares of falling out. But something still brings us togeather, even though we can't always tolerate each other. I mean, shit, we're (the four of us) are all different, yet we're really the same. Not to mention, a fire sign (sag), a water sign (cancer), an air sign (gemini), and an earth sign (capricorn).

While opposites generally don't attracted, they often do. I'm not saying find a mate/friend who's opposite. One gemini in particular I dated (and a definitional one, at that) was not a good partner. But still....

My Father is a Pecies, my mother a Gemini. While Gemini and Pecies arn't opposite, they're both part of the "mutible" signs, along with Virgo and Sagittarius. All four of the signs are fairly similar, and typiclly, there's chemistry. Two of my siblings are Pecies, another a Leo, and one of my sisters and myself a sag. The leo of the group (my oldest brother) is faily different than the rest of us, but I'm more similar to him than anyone else. Leo and sagittarius are both fire signs, along with Aries. My sister who's also a sag was close to him, but I think gender has some effect on the outcome of astrology. Who knows....

regardless, there's more to astrology than the newspaper, or even astrology profiles. But none of you would know that. That would require you to actually look into it (god forbid).

typiclly I'm a little more inclined to respect other opinions, but this thread is rediculous. I know we all have our own opinions and all, but why post in a topic on astrology and horiscopes when you're just trying to say it sucks, or discredit it (or maybe just me). I mean, the thread isn't about wether it works or not. Thats for the person to dicide. We may as well be arguing about God, and we all know how those convo's go.

I guess some of us just go deeper than others....
