My Civic does that when its colder outside, until the motor warms up. I've replaced the tranny fluid with spec SAE 30, not 5W30. Still does it. I just figured it was synchros wearing out, so I warm up alittle longer and take the first few shifts easy, then its fine for the rest of shifting.
