If you don't want to actually see who is behind you, then go for it. That is the only thing stopping me from getting aftermarket side mirrors is that all of them are smaller than stock. I value my mirrors too much and cannot give it up for anything smaller.
yup not too worried about that as i really rarely use them in my daily commute.. my getting them is based solely on the look of them.. i think with my other black items and c/f hood.. they will look good
