I have a CAI in my accord, and the filter is above the splash gaurd, and i'm wondering if this winter when it snows, if snow gets in it will it hydrolock my engine? I cannot decide wether or not a bypass valve is worth it or not.
Yes filter can be wet but its what went through thats the problem... if you SUCK up water thats whats bad. Not if the filter is wet. If snow hits it it will not hydrolock the engine the filter is positioned downwards to drain if your filter is buried in snow. But if your going to buy a CAI GET A BYPASS VALVE. It solves all your problems.
