Honda didn't come out with MTF until '96 or '97. The owner's manual for my '95 GS-R says motor oil. But MTF worked better for me.
But more important - it sounds like the synchro is just working properly. Try double-clutching to shift into 1st at a little faster road speed. Or don't. Why do you want to do that anyway?
OK. i forgot about how they didnt come out with it till after my car was made, but is there any risk in hurting the tranny by using it? And i ask about shifting into first at high speeds becasue like my freind, when he knows hes coming to a stop, but for a short time, like a 4-way stop sign, he will shift into first when aproching the intersection. Thats why i would want to do it. BUT its not a big deal, only a few seconds out of my life
