The CRV really is way too big for the B20B/Z, unfortunatly. That's why they use the K24A now. Any supercharger that will fit a B18A/B will also fit this engine.
but I'm having a little trouble locking down Heads with higher flow numbers and better lift capabilites
This statement makes me think you are a domestic guy. Domestic guys are lucky, plenty of companies make high-flow aftermarket heads for domestic engines. We don't have that option, all we can do is port and polish or swap other factory heads, as previously mentioned.
Camshafts(preferrably higher lift durations, and overlapping lift cycles to increase scavaging, and Larger ID throttle Bodies, if the stocker doesn't flow enough with some basic port work and thinner blade.
Crower makes an excellent line of cams, the 404's would probably make you happy. 3/4 race cams. If you don't like a lopey idle, 403's are the next best thing with a good power boost but better street drivablility. As for the throttle body, there are a few aftermarket choices availible as long as you have the other mods done to make it worth it. That is assuming the B20B/Z throttle body is the same as the B18A/B unit, which it should be.

The B20B/Z is very easy to modify because it's a B series engine. There are lots and lots of junk availible for them.

BTW, a 2001 will have a B20Z. It is higher compression then the US B18B, and the same compression as the JDM B20B.

I thought VA beach had emissions tests too?
