sooooo pathetic
Ok other thread got locked again.... yawn.
So basically, if I make a personal comment to someone who HAPPENS to be an admin, and then I get warned, THAT makes it the business of the board, and in the public domain.
Administrators need to hold themselves to a higher standard than regular users because they are representatives of the board.
It is just as easy for THEM to take things to PM as it is for a regular poster, and due to their position it is actually their onus to do so.
Stifiling criticism of the "ruling class" is fascism, and is in direct contradiction of the concepts of checks and balances that make any co-operative community possible. If one administrator was out of line (not so in my case), the other administrators could only do something based on public feedback.
It's my personal opinion that the mods are using their administrative powers for personal reasons.
"Disrespect towards a mod" is a PERSOANL issue, and should NOT be made a HAN issue by leveraging their board status.
If someone is told NOT to do something that is hindering the board, and disobey's THAT is insubordination.
And making sure things happen behind "closed doors" by locking threads and insisting things be taken to PM, is bullshit, everyone on the board has the rights to know what the moderators are doing. Again, this is a collaborative community and public opinion is the litmus test whether or not an action is justifiable or not.
