I dunno, the fact that they did not pick an awful car, like they have so many times, and yet picked a car that has good quality and has been brought here to do one thing other cars can't, be good to the enviroment, makes me respect motor trend. Remember when they gave the award to the Chevy Caprice?! And, this will give the Prius even more visibilty, I am all for hybrids selling as well as possible. Sure it is not the fastest car, or the best looking, but it is a big step for cars in general.
I definitely agree. The more profitable the Prius gets, the better chance we'll see even more hybrid. Sure, it's not very fast now, but once it gets alot more profitable to make, then we'll see it in every type of cars due to mass production. Then it'll pave the way for IMA, e4WD, and other technology that combines electrical motor along w/ the conventional car parts. Better performance and better gas mileage. Since Toyota said it's profitable to make hybrid now, I wonder if they'll stick it in the Camry and Corolla soon.
