Default Cold Start Problem Solved!

In case someone has the same problem:

This turned out to be a faulty coolant temp sending unit. It is located in the thermostat housing. There are two of them, the pass side sensor turns the fans on, the driver's side sensor tells the ECU the coolant temp so it can richen the fuel mixture appropriately. $31 at Autozone. Hope this saves someone some frustration.
