a 45 offset is good for a 19x8. i have 19x8 with 45 offset on my 6th gen, and i don't rub at all. i even had a full car with the rear wheels tucked into the wheel wells and still didn't rub, but that depends on how stiff your suspension is. anyway, for a 5th gen, you might want to look at 19x7 or 7.5. you might also want to go with a 215/35 tire to be on the safe side. i have 225/35's.
as far as 19's pushing it on a 6th gen, they still look small on my car to me. probably should have looked for 20's. my .02
Thanks for the reply man, I'm looking to go with a set of 7 1/2's after doing some reading. I'll also look for a set of 215/35's after seing a few pics and reading your reply.
