i know that there is this stuff i think its stopsquil(spellcheck) or some thing that mechanics will put on brake pads to keep them from making noise. this is so a customer doesnt hear the noise and freak out bring it back to the shop trying to get it fixed when theres nothing wrong and they dont want the customer to think that they did a bad job and go elsewhere next brakejob. try some brake cleaner and go to the local parts store and ask them what product will end the noise. and if you had you brakes done by a professional take it back to them and they will fix it. it might not seem like the right thing to do but make a big deal about it and they will fix it.
