crv's can be bought with a 5 speed manual transmistion, altho its very rarely seen, and its actually not 4wd, its AWD, not much difference in most peoples minds.......
there are aftermarket upgrades for all the drive axles on any honda, including the crv, in fact i'm told its not uncommon for the japanese "offroad junkies" to swap an ITR motor into them and upgrade the axles to deal with mud, and slap on some yokohama geolanders and viola! you've got the goofiest looking jeep wannabe
