any swap to a D-series or B-series in a 1st gen CRX is probably going to blow your budget of $1500 - the B-series mounts, shift linkage and wiring alone will easily eat up half of that - the easiest swap to a later engine is the 86-87 integra D16A1 - finding a D16A1 that is any good could be a real problem, due to their age and the number of miles they have on them - an alternative to this is the JDM 86-87 integra brown valve cover ZC, which is basically the same as the D16A1 and can be had for around $500 - this engine (or D16A1) will bolt directly into your chassis without a mount kit - you will need these parts from 86-89 integra - transmission, ECU, knuckles/hubs, axles and shift linkage - all of the wiring plugs right into the Si harness - there are some minor changes you need to make for the swap but nothing that costs any money - if you can find the integra parts cheap enough and doing it yourself, you might get close to your budget
