about 80% of normal engine wear occurs when you start your car after it has been sitting for more than an hour. one way to reduce it is to use a good oil additive like BG MOA or MOC Premium Engine Oil Treatment. those bond to the metal in your engine and keep it all lubricated even when your car has sat for a good while. and i have a good story about how i know the BG product works. i'll tell if you ask.
