Well not all, I stand corrected most of them. You are right about Galileo being hated for pointing his telescope. I meant to say Copernicus, his book even had a preface that said his findings were not meant to be taken seriously. The question I was asking is whether devout Christians still believe in a earth centered astronomy, or has science taken its toll and do they now realize that the scriptures are wrong.
again, where in the Bible does it state or even imply that the Earth is the center of the universe, that "devout Christians" would believe that and thus make the "scriptures" wrong?
